1. Purpose

The FDLP Community site is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) that is designed to serve as a communication platform for the Federal depository library community. It is not intended as a forum to debate GPO policies or practices with the GPO and users should not expect responses, comments, or replies to content directed at GPO.

2. Submission Guidelines

Site participation is limited to members of the Federal depository library community. To participate in the site, complete the site's registration form. All submissions are screened before approval. Once a registration submission has been approved, users must confirm their request via email in order to officially activate their account.

3. Prohibitions

The only prohibitions will be on uncivil discourse, profane and personal attacks, or other matters of distaste or indiscretion. In short, if you wouldn't say it at your library staff meeting, don't say it here.

4. Site Moderation

The FDLP Community site is self-moderating by the FDLP community. GPO reserves the right to edit or delete submissions that are deemed inappropriate per this policy. Content can also be flagged as inappropriate by users, which is then reviewed by GPO personnel. In the case of a violation, GPO will enforce this policy by editing or deleting the offensive submission and possibly suspend or deactivate the offending user's account.
