The Next FDLP Marketing Campaign2012 will see a brand new marketing campaign for the FDLP, complete with the creation of a new campaign slogan and a new set of tips and tools for libraries to use to promote themselves to both the public and non-depository libraries. We introduced this idea at the fall Depository Library Council Meeting and Federal Depository Library Conference in October through a focus group, and we received some great feedback. Now we want to open it up to the entire community for input. Here you will find seven different options that are being considered for the new campaign slogan. We invite you to weigh in on our top seven options, and we'll be reporting back on the results in a few weeks along with next steps!
Re: The Next FDLP Marketing CampaignWhile it may not matter that much here are my $.02 --- I think "Guaranteed" should be removed from the "Guaranteed Access since 18....." option. To begin with, it reminds me of used car salesmen.
Re: The Next FDLP Marketing Campaign
I agree with removing "guaranteed". Not sure if there is a better word to insert or if it should just begin with "access since 1813". Some words that come to mind are: public, local, open. Or maybe an active verb such as "providing access".
Re: The Next FDLP Marketing CampaignI suggest: Access Government Information since 1813 at a Federal Depository Library.
Federal Depository Library might be a link so that patrons could access a national list of FDL's with a brief summary of what they contain. Joan Wolk EPFL/SLRC Baltimore, MD
