Retiring in Debt? An example to make docs relevantPosted by: dcornwall on Nov 27, 2009 Tagged in: Untagged

In my library, the Social Security Bulletin (SSA 1.22:) is a display periodical. The most current issue on our shelves is v. 69, no. 2 (2009). I noticed the following cover article:
Retiring in Debt? Differences Between the 1995 and 2004 Near-Retiree Cohorts (p. 13)
With so many people concerned both about the economic situation and worried about their retirement, this seems like a good article to highlight in your library. The Bulletin is also available on the web at http://www.ssa.gov/policy/docs/ssb/, so this highlight could be done on your website or blog as well.
The website has posted v.69, no. 3 and it also has a good "should I be worried?" type of article titled, The Disappearing Defined Benefit Pension and Its Potential Impact on the Retirement Incomes of Baby Boomers.
Many of us already have the mindset to keep an eye out for opportunities to show people that government documents can be meaningful in everyday life, but I don't think reminders hurt.
Anything good catch your eye lately?
