Men who stare at goats field manual?

The Honolulu Advertiser ran an interview with the retired Lt. Jim Channon, on whose research the recent film "The Men Who Stare at Goats" is based. In the article, Channon relates that his work resulted in an Army field manual entitled Evolutionary Tactics, published in 1978. I haven't been able to identify this FM (perhaps it was not distributed?). There is a book entitled First Earth Battalion Field Manual by Jim Channon for sale, which is supposedly a reprint of the 1978 FM. It doesn't look like any FM I've ever seen, though.

All gov docs are special, but some are more special than others. Find of the day: The battle of the Aleutians : a graphic history,  from 1944 (no SuDoc). Cpl. Dashiell Hammett was one of the writers. He was a celebrated mystery writer who created detectives Sam Spade and Nick and Nora Charles (The Thin Man). The Battle of the Aleutians took place in June 1942.
